CHERYL MAWDSLEY

Chief Financial Officer

Cheryl Mawdsley is a self-made financial leader with more than 25 years of experience guiding businesses toward stability and growth. Before joining the firm, she spent eight years building and leading her own company, JDM Associates, where she provided stress-free, back-office support to small and mid-sized businesses. Her hands-on expertise in strategic planning, financial management, and operational efficiency reflects a career built from the ground up—one defined by persistence, problem-solving, and a commitment to helping businesses thrive.

 

Cheryl’s approach is rooted in building lasting relationships and delivering practical, results-driven solutions. Beyond her professional work, she gives back as the Director of Pawsitivly 4 Pink, a nonprofit supporting low-income women facing breast cancer. When not working, she enjoys time with her three young adult children and two dogs.

KELLIE MOATS

Executive Assistant

Kellie Moats is an experienced administrative and financial professional with over 15 years of hands-on experience in administrative support, bookkeeping, and payroll management. She currently serves as the Executive Assistant to Cheryl Mawdsley, providing high-level administrative and operational support to ensure efficient and organized daily business operations.

Throughout her career, Kellie has managed a wide range of responsibilities, including office administration, recordkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. She also oversees payroll processes with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, ensuring employees are compensated correctly and on schedule.

Kellie is known for her attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive financial and personnel information. Her experience allows her to anticipate needs, streamline processes, and effectively support leadership and staff. She takes pride in contributing to smooth operations and supporting organizational success through reliable, well-organized administrative leadership.

SOPHIA GIZA

Administrative Assistant

Sophia Giza is a Coastal Carolina University graduate with a strong interest in finance and bookkeeping. She is diving into her future in the financial industry as Administrative Assistant to Cheryl Mawdsley. Sophia quickly adapts to new systems and takes pride in providing reliable, proactive support. Assisting in keeping Cheryl's daily operations organized and on track, she is always excited to keep learning and growing with BOSS Business Solutions. 

Outside of her professional role, Sophia enjoys staying active, exploring new recipes, and continuously learning skills that complement her work in finance and bookkeeping—sometimes while working remotely by the coast.
